I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year catching up with friends and family.

I love this time of year. I know my friends and family think im crazy, but I have been itching to get back into the studio.

It is the time of year that I can sit back and review 2011 but also focus/plan for the year ahead.

I have some massive tasks/goals ahead of me which I will tackle head on.

With the new location, a new website was needed along with a fresh new logo design. With the visual aspect of the business requiring a facelift, as well as the services we offer. The seamless backdrop is now in place along with better controlled lighting we now offer full body shots (family portraits), along with the usual product photography. I am going under the name Creative Stance, and I am really excited to have the name on the door!

Now come visit, I have great coffee, chocolate and have funny stories to tell!

Some important notes:

• 45 Martin Square is just off Taranaki Street, Wellington
• We are here Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm
• We love vintage cameras, and have started a wee collection on the back wall
• A drink and chat is almost compulsory. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice or red bull

NZV8- 1100 HP Street Legal Camaro

You might have guested from a earlier post that I headed up to Wanganui to shoot this car. Boy is it one tuff machine, running a a F-3 131 ProCharger this thing can fly at 1133rwhp Street-legal.. Go buy Issue 77 to read more, it is worth it!!

Juiced- 1979 1JZ Corona

I shot Rupeshs (Rupz) car a few years back before the low offset wheels, 1jz and other goodies. Even then it was a neck breaker but now it is the full package which I would love to own. The New Zealand Jewellery Show brings leading contemporary and fine jewellery designers from throughout the country to Wellington to showcase and sell their finest work. There will be something for everyone, from classic pieces to dramatic contemporary statements and objects of art.

All jewellery on display is designed and made by New Zealanders, with a price range to suit everybody’s pocket. Visitors will have the opportunity to personally meet the designers, talk about the ideas behind their designs and purchase from an outstanding array of work. If you love jewellery, this is the event for you.

There wouldn’t be a better way to finish off the Symposium than fine food, drinks and conversions with other Professionals. The atmosphere was full of laughs, and the night ended with dancing thanks to local band, the ‘Bad Habits’.

The first weekend of July saw me escape the Wellington winds for a trip to Wanganui. The trip doubled up for work and pleasure, having a chance to shoot a feature for NZV8 magazine and also attend a friend’s Genevieve Rose Warburton’s 21^st. What a great day getting to shoot the toughest street legal car I have seen, plus kick back and relax with friends in a new town.

With Wanganui ticked off the list, it was an early day trip to New Plymouth. First stop was a feature car to shoot for Express Publications. An amazing black truck that will be hitting the Australian news stands in the coming months so stay tuned for updates.

I also visited one of the the most passionate NZV8 reader’s private shed/museum which was packed full of automotive greatness. It was a big deal writing an article and taking photos of this shed. I hope I did it some justice but I will let you be the judge when it hits the shelves in the next few weeks.

It was a long drive back to Wellington as I had to project manage a job first thing (6am Monday morning).

The first week of July was jam-packed and the following few weeks were spent writing, editing, planning and managing jobs with a few shoots in between. I have a busy few weeks ahead, including flying out to Rotorua on the 6th of August for the NZIPP conference (more on this in a later post).

Exciting news is that the latest Classic Car is now out with my photos of Dennis’s 1970 Dodge Challenger gracing the cover. While I have found myself photographing alot more automotive stuff this month, it has taken me back to where my passion started. I am just itching to get out and shoot! If you haven’t already, join my Facebook page! I will have some giveaways soon!

Kids can often be challenging to work with not to mention babies that are learning their own five senses, so keeping things quick and painless as possible is essential! If you are interested in having a family photo done, or have a new addition to the bunch and wanted some shots to show the grandparents I would be more then happy to provide my services!

The day started of capturing images of the bridal party at the Museum Hotel in Wellington. A sleek Chrysler 300c Series Limousine pulled up and we were driven to the Cathedral. The ceremony was lavish and lovely with the bride looking picture perfect on her special day. It was amazing to photograph the joy and love from both couples and family.

With the ceremony at the cathedral over I planned the task of catching the group shot! As with all weddings, planning is critical and we had every minute accounted for, and often a lot of time is wasted getting the group shot together. Why not take the photo while they were already in place? This ended up working out rather well!

With the group and family photos sorted it was time to get the bridal party photos underway. We took on a number of locations including Oriental Bay and the Botanical Gardens in pitch darkness. It was certainly a laugh and we all enjoyed ourselves!

With the guests arriving to the reception at Soi in Evans Bay, I was able to capture the warmth and happiness felt for Daniel and Catherine and the smiles on the newly weds faces.

With the evening drawing to a close, the Supermodels got everyone up on their feet playing a large number of classic’s which really topped the day of!
